Juried Photo Competition and Youth Photo Contest
Finalists Announced
FotoWeek DC is very pleased to announce both the finalists of its first annual photo competition and the finalists of the youth photo contest. The overwhelming response to our "call for entries" was very gratifying, and the quality of the work was equally superior in its variety, creativity, and execution.
For the youth contest (co-sponsored with The Washington Post), nearly 2000 entries representing grades K through 12 were received from school students in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Some of these young finalists may very well be headed toward serious careers in photography.
We sincerely thank all who participated and we send hearty congratulations to our finalists whose work will be exhibited at FotoWeek Central, 3338 M Street, NW, Nov. 15-22. Join us on November 22 for our gala celebration at The National Geographic Society when the winners of the juried photo exhibition will be announced.
